Facilities Officer Job
This role involves managing the maintenance and facilities operations of rural campuses and student accommodation in your region, ensuring a welcoming and vibrant campus atmosphere. You will be responsible for tasks such as Work, Health and Safety (WHS) activities, responding to emails about maintenance items, conducting inspections and changeovers, managing inventory, purchasing cleaning supplies, and coordinating maintenance and bookings for fleet vehicles.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also assist with contractor management, coordinating contractors for scheduled building maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure tasks. You will contribute to the preparation and renewal of leases for student accommodations, aligning with relevant procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations across Northern Territory facilities.
About You
* You must have completed a relevant degree or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
* Strong communication skills are essential for producing reports and correspondence.
* You should be able to manage conflicting priorities and make informed decisions independently.
* Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members and stakeholders to achieve outcomes is required.
* An understanding of contemporary administrative systems and the ability to apply relevant policies in a complex environment is necessary.
