Key deliverables: Align the strategic direction of IT to business goals, then form strong relationships with (and influence) a diverse range of business stakeholders to enable a successful IT strategy implementation. Confidently execute on a portfolio of current IT projects to improve the perception of IT and rebuilt confidence from the business. Modernise current IT systems and improve IT service delivery. Proactively understand business problems and develop pragmatic IT solutions to address them. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a technology vision and strategy in alignment business objectives. Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team as a trusted technology advisor. IT Team Leadership : manage, motivate, and develop the technology team. Technology Governance & Risk: oversee IT compliance, data governance, and risk management; establish enterprise architecture and cybersecurity frameworks. Operational Excellence: ensure the availability, reliability, optimisation and security of IT infrastructure, systems, platforms, applications etc Stakeholder Engagement: form relationships with stakeholders across the organisation; become a trusted IT advisor and influence non-technical stakeholders. Project Management: establish project management methodologies, frameworks, best practice; lead IT projects and provide transparent reporting. REQUIRED BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL QUALITIES: Suitable for a strategic thinking IT leader with demonstrated experience transforming technology functions, preferably within a federated/decentralised NFP organisational structure. Ideal for a people person with proven experience building relationships with (and influencing) a diverse group of non-technical business stakeholders without authority. Someone capable of 'rolling their sleeves up' and getting hands-on to find solutions to business problems through IT is needed. Required: Experience : Proven IT leadership experience within complex organisational structures, including experience across CRM, cloud, cybersecurity, data governance, data privacy, and digital platforms. Strategic and visionary thinking : ability to understand business needs, anticipate future tech trends, and translate these into actionable strategies. Proven track record : Demonstrated success developing and implementing IT strategies that have successfully transformed Technology functions. Leadership skills : Servant leader with proven team-building capabilities and a track record of motivating, managing, and developing high-performing teams. Influencing & Trust: competently able to build trust across a diverse range of stakeholders and influence them without authority to achieve business objectives. Industry experience : experience with an NFP and/or charity; background in a federated and/or decentralised organisational is beneficial. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in IT or the Business sector.
