Allied Recruitment is seeking 2nd Class MIG Welders to join our client's busy workshop in Belmont. Our client is a leading manufacturer of structural handrails, walkways, platforms, and grating systems, supplying projects across the industrial, mining, and oil & gas sectors throughout Australia.
About the Role
* MIG welding of structural handrails, walkways, platforms, and grating systems in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
* Oxy cutting, measuring, and preparing steel components
* Interpreting workshop drawings and production job sheets
* Quality checking finished products to ensure they meet required standards
* Assisting with general workshop duties, including material handling and dispatch support
* Completing all tasks in accordance with WHS procedures
Requirements
* Proven MIG welding experience in flat, vertical, and overhead positions (manufacturing experience highly regarded)
* Ability to pass a pre‑employment welding test and supply own welding helmet
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, instructions, and production schedules
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
* Reliable, safety‑conscious, and team‑focused attitude
