We're looking for a talented Java Developer to join our team for a 5-month contract, stepping into a key role while a team member is on extended leave. You'll have the opportunity to hit the ground running, take ownership of existing projects, and play a vital part in uplifting legacy code to modern, efficient solutions. What You'll Do
* Develop and maintain web applications using Java EE
* Manage build pipelines and oversee cloud deployments to ensure smooth delivery
* Work with AWS services and leverage EKS (Kubernetes) for container orchestration
* Apply data analytics and mathematical concepts to enhance application functionality
* Collaborate on performance optimisation and scalability within cloud environments
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience as a mid-to-senior level Java developer with strong coding and debugging skills
* Hands-on ability to manage build pipelines and oversee cloud deployments for scalable applications
* Practical knowledge of AWS services and familiarity with EKS (Kubernetes) for container orchestration
* Strong analytical mindset with exposure to data analytics and mathematical concepts
* In-depth understanding of AFL and NRL sports rules to deliver accurate, domain-specific solutions would be advantageous
