This Position Matters Because: The Senior Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for leading the execution of marketing and communication strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of artists, tours, albums, and promotional campaigns. This position will oversee digital marketing and social media to ensure all marketing and communication initiatives impact and enhance DAL's offering. The position works closely with the Marketing and Communications Team, Promoters, Tour Coordinators and the Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic marketing and communications advice and workflow management. Key Accountabilities: Marketing Strategy and ExecutionOverseeing digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels to optimize promotional reach and impact.Actively supervising marketing campaigns (setting goals, timelines and budgets) on tours 1000> capacity.Collaborating with promoters, artists teams and record labels to align promotional efforts with branding.Leading the development and direction of compelling content across formats (video, social, written, graphic) in collaboration with the content team, ensuring alignment with tour and brand strategies.Collaborating with in-house content creators & external contractors to produce marketing materials that are on brand and optimised for each platform.Researching and applying industry insights and trends to inform marketing strategies.Undertaking customer analysis/segmentation, and developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies for tour promotions that are driving audience engagement and sales.Developing annual marketing plans based on promoter forecasting and streamlining campaign development and marketing initiatives across digital and direct marketing.Overseeing website management, design, accessibility, upgrades, SEO performance and traffic measurements and analysis.Establishing methods to evaluate customer engagement, audience reach, and utilisation.Engaging third party suppliers via preferred supplier agreements to minimise costs.Coordinating intellectual property, trademarking, and copywriting processes as required. Sponsorships and PartnershipsEnsuring sponsorship strategies, packages and initiatives are being strategically aligned and integrated with marketing campaigns and activations.Supporting the Senior Partnerships Manager by cultivating relationships with potential sponsors, advertisers, and brand partners to create mutually beneficial collaborations.Ensuring sponsorships are being evaluated, measured and using ROI reporting to adjust strategies and optimize outcomes. Brand ManagementOverseeing and leading the DAL brand including developing, maintaining and educating on branding and style guide application.Developing ongoing collateral, resources, promotional materials, templates, logos, and guides.Providing brand management guidance and advice to the DAL team. Budget ManagementManaging any marketing budgets and reporting on expenditure as required. Public RelationsLiaising with relevant Tour Coordinators on publicity activity when appropriate. Marketing Systems and Processes Enabling the Marketing and Communications team to operate within streamlined and effective processes and systems which mitigate single point dependency risks. This includes:Implementing systems and technology to drive visibility over campaign tracking.Streamlining digital marketing to promote tours and events.Overseeing the scheduling of pre-sales, on-sales and announcements in collaboration with Promoters and the Social Media Manager.Implementing team processes (including AI solutions) to drive efficiencies and results.Developing workload management systems. Analytics and ReportingDrawing on the marketing team's performance reports, synthesising the data and insights to drive continuous improvement. People Management and Leadership Managing and leading people by driving engagement, positive culture, removing barriers, developing staff, managing performance, and creating program/project opportunities. Qualifications & Experience Requirements:Tertiary qualifications in marketing and communications or an associated field.10+ years of experience in marketing and communications management.A good knowledge and understanding of the music industry (5+ years' experience)Strong capabilities in paid advertising, digital marketing, strategic thinking, marketing and communication, business partnering, analytics and leading teams.A good understanding of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X, Mailchimp, CMS +Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Australian Work Rights.
