About this opportunity

You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of Asset Management projects, ensuring that scope, budget, timeline, and quality objectives are met while aligning outcomes with Council priorities. Managing a team of Asset Information Officers, you will collaborate across the organisation to deliver asset data, systems projects, and actionable insights in partnership with the asset accounting team and other team across MRC, supporting asset management decisions.

* Lead the delivery of complex asset data initiatives.
* Develop and coordinate project schedules, resources, risk management strategies, and dependencies, providing comprehensive status reports to stakeholders including asset accounting.
* Offer expert technical guidance on asset information management, system functionality, and data integrity.
* Foster strong cross-functional relationships to effectively translate business requirements into tangible project results.
* Mentor and support your team to achieve service standards, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

About you

You excel at integrating systems, data, people, and purpose. You are adept at leading teams through clear communication, effectively navigating complexity, and making informed decisions that drive meaningful results in asset management.


Essential qualifications, experience & skills
Project & Technical Capability
* Delivery of complex Asset Information Management and/or IT-enabled projects, including change management.
* Strong project governance across planning, risk, scope, reporting and contemporary methodologies.
* Sound knowledge of asset management practices, data governance and integrity.
* Working knowledge of GIS and asset/spatial data systems.

Analysis & Problem Solving
* Highly developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide practical recommendations.

Stakeholder & People Leadership
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively.
* Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating small teams to agreed standards and deadlines.
Qualifications & Licences
* Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree or Associate Diploma) in Asset Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, IT or similar, or equivalent experience.
* Current QLD ‘C’ Class Driver Licence (or ability to transfer within 3 months).

Desirable
* LEAN experience.
* Project Management qualification.
* Asset Management certification (e.g. CAAM).

What we offer
* Permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight.
* Stream A Salaried Level 6 Base annual salary $107,933.28
* Up to 18% Superannuation (Conditions apply)
* Up to $10,000 relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
* Choice of 4 or 5 weeks’ annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
