SUMMARY: Leads and directs EVS in accordance with overall housekeeping duties and responsibilities at the casino and other associated properties
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)
* Leads and directs EVS in the daily performance of job requirements.
* Communicates with Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure daily shift responsibilities are accomplished.
* Provides professional, courteous service and be cordial to all Team Members and Guests.
* Sweeps, mops, polishes and strips floors.
* Cleans restrooms and fills dispensers.
* Vacuums, spots cleans, and/or shampoo rugs, carpets, and furniture using commercial type vacuum cleaners and shampooing equipment.
* Reports malfunction of bathroom fixtures, and/or damges to room and hall furnishing to Supervisor.
* Initiates work orders for repair/maintenance.
* Stocks areas with appropriate supplies.
* Locks and unlocks doors as directed.
* Moves furniture, equipment or fixtures as required.
* Washes dishes or utinsils as required.
* May replace light bulbs.
* Identifies and corrects unsafe practices and conditions.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements
* Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
* Prefer one (1) year of custodial experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
* Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards.
* Must be able to read English in order to ensure that all chemical handling is conducted in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
* Must possess skill in using cleaning products and equipment.
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* May be required to possess and maintain a California Drivers License and a Black Oak Casino driver permit.
* Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
* Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
* Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
* Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
* Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Physical Demands
* Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
* Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
* Required to work around moving machinery with possible exposure to vibration, dust, gas, fumes, steam, or chemicals or Blood Borne Pathogens.
* Required to wear protective equipment such as mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, etc.

* Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
* Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
* Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
* Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
* Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
