The Role
Seeking a Developer to drive Phase 2 of a major application transformation for NSW Government. Moving into modernizing the application stack of the Asset Management System (AMS).
Requires deep expertise in backend integration. You will move away from legacy 3-tier structures toward modern microservices.
What You Will Do
* Lead the re-architecture of legacy Oracle PL/SQL logic into a scalable Node.js microservices environment.
* Translate complex solution designs for middle management and mentor the team to drive high-quality design.
* Work closely with support teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain service integrity throughout the migration.
Key Technical Skills
* Ability to explain solution designs to middle managers and lead architectural decisions, not just write code.
* Previous experience assisting Support teams (L2/L3) with troubleshooting and diagnostic tools is highly desirable.
* Exposure to GIS (Geospatial), Java, or Azure would be beneficial.
The Tech Stack
* Modern Core: Node.js, Vue.js/TypeScript and Microservices architecture.
* Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL packages/triggers, SQL Server.
* Desirable: Entra ID / Azure AD authentication.
