Role Details
The Child Advocacy Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Child Protection Liaison Officer) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your Opportunity
The Clinical Nurse provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other Nursing/Midwifery staff.
The Child Protection Liaison Officer (CPLO) / Clinical Nurse (CN) is considered a Level 4 Capability Level (Expert) as per the Queensland Health Child Safety and Wellbeing Capability Framework.
About The Team
* The Child Advocacy Service provides a single point of contact and service for child protection issues and concerns within the MHHS.
* "Frangipani House" Child Advocacy Service on the Mackay Base Hospital Campus.
* The unit is a purpose-built facility, positioned in an area that provides easy access by all QH staff to the Child Advocacy Unit. It has restricted access to the Public.
* Central point of contact on campus for the Department of Child Safety and the Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU), to meet regarding Child Protection issues. Safe, secure, child-friendly environment to examine children and young people following alleged sexual assault.
* Frangipani House is located adjacent to the Women's Health Unit and the Child and Adolescent Unit.
* The Child Advocacy Service provides a Monday-Friday Service hrs. Staff are also available outside of hours for Emergency SCAN meetings.
