Drill Maintenance Expert
Fortescue is seeking a skilled and experienced Drill Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Christmas Creek. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying performance issues in drill equipment and driving effective maintenance and rectification plans.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all work is risk assessed, with hazards effectively mitigated and controlled.
* Conduct scheduled inspections, audits, and maintenance activities within required timeframes.
* Implement high-standard maintenance plans on time and in full.
* Investigate and diagnose drill performance issues; collaborate with Reliability Engineers to develop improvement plans.
* Provide technical support and mentoring to maintenance personnel.
* Promote continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a high-performing maintenance culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant Australian-recognised trade qualification (e.g. Mechanical or Electrical Fitter).
* Proven experience in mobile equipment maintenance and fault diagnosis.
* Strong technical knowledge of Atlas Copco and CAT drill rigs; flexibility to work with other OEMs as required.
* Previous experience working with autonomous drill systems (desirable).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is highly regarded.
* Current C-Class Manual Driver's Licence (mandatory).
