We are seeking an experienced and hands‐on Factory Manager to lead our stone fabrication workshop. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing production, managing staff, and ensuring high‐quality workmanship across all projects.

About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Production & Operations
Managing daily factory operations to ensure smooth workflow and on‐time delivery
Planning and scheduling jobs to meet installation deadlines
Supervising CNC, waterjet, and bridge saw operations
Ensuring all fabrication follows approved shop drawings and specifications
Drawing Review & Validation
Interpreting and validating shop drawings and technical plans before production
Checking measurements, cut‐outs, joins, and fabrication details
Identifying and resolving discrepancies prior to manufacturing
Approving drawings to minimise errors and rework
Supervising and supporting factory staff and subcontractors
Training team members in safe and efficient machine operation
Allocating tasks to maximise productivity
Quality & Safety
Ensuring high standards of workmanship and quality control
Maintaining WHS compliance and a safe working environment
Keeping the workshop clean and organised
Overseeing maintenance of machinery and equipment
Managing slab inventory and raw material stock levels
Coordinating with suppliers as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience as a Factory Manager, Production Supervisor, or Senior Stonemason
* Strong knowledge of stone fabrication processes
* Experience working with CNC, waterjet, and bridge saw machinery
* Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
* Strong leadership and problem‐solving skills
* Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency
* Excellent communication skills
A minimum of 3-5 years of stone fabrication experience is required.
Candidates must hold valid Australian work authorisation.
A minimum of 1-2 years of team leadership experience is required.
