Job Title
Are you a project management professional seeking a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an APS5 and APS6 Project Officer to join our team.
The role involves leading and supporting projects across the agency, requiring a proactive, highly organised individual with strong project management skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
* Contribute to the development and management of project plans and schedules.
* Provide advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
* Perform research work and analysis including contributing to the preparation of reports.
* Contribute to regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
* Draft a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
Requirements
* Strong understanding of agile project management methodology to plan, monitor and deliver work packages.
* Ability to meet critical deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as an effective member of a team, using a high level of initiative to manage competing priorities.
* Advanced communication skills and ability to work well with stakeholders and manage expectations.
* Well-developed Microsoft 365 Skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Planner).
* Government administration experience.
* Australian Citizenship required.
Additional APS6 Requirements
* Qualifications in either project management, government or the social services field.
* At least 2 years project management experience.
