They provide tax, accounting and advisory services to SMEs, business owners, and high-net-worth clients across a variety of industries. With a strong reputation and consistent growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Accountant – Business Services to join their high-performing team.
This role is ideal for someone looking to step up within public practice, manage their own client portfolio, and work closely with experienced Partners.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality business services, tax compliance, and advisory solutions to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
* Managing a portfolio of SME clients and acting as their trusted advisor
* Providing tax planning, business advisory, and strategic accounting support
* Preparation of BAS, IAS, and GST compliance
* Liaising directly with clients and providing proactive advice
* Reviewing work completed by junior and intermediate accountants
* Supporting Partners with business advisory and tax consulting projects
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* 4+ years’ experience in public practice accounting
* Strong experience in business services and tax accounting
* CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
* Experience managing SME clients and business owners
* Strong technical knowledge across tax compliance and advisory
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills
* Experience with MYOB AB, or similar cloud accounting platforms
