About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities across commercial and personal insurance, as well as financial services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential new business opportunities through proactive outreach and research.
* Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with local businesses, community groups, and stakeholders to create long-term lead opportunities and generate referrals.
* Appointment Setting: Arrange appointments for new business opportunities to be followed up by the Commercial sales team.
* Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell or refer clients to other areas of the business.
* Compliance & Conduct: Operate in a fully compliant, customer-focused manner, adhering to principles at all times.
Requirements:
* Understanding of general Insurance and/or Financial Services Industries
* Excellent communication skills
* Confidence in approaching and speaking with new people
* Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive mindset
* Experience with CRM systems or lead-tracking tools
* Strong attention to detail in logging and qualifying leads
