Project Engineers play a crucial role in the successful delivery of complex projects. Based in Hobart, Tasmania, this Project Engineer role requires effective coordination with Managers and Superintendents on Engineering, temporary works, scheduling and project status.
* Coordinating with senior personnel to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks and resolving any issues that may arise during project execution.
* Preparing progress reports and other necessary documents to keep stakeholders informed about project status and schedule adjustments.
* Providing technical assistance to supervisory personnel, including interpreting engineering documents and drawings for field personnel.
* Overseeing the control of fabrication and field construction engineering schedules to meet overall program requirements.
* Participating in bid evaluation of subcontract tenders and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Monitoring and coordinating the preparation of maintenance and change of construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirements.
As a successful candidate, you will have:
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as construction, civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.
* Previous experience in large-scale infrastructure projects in Australia, particularly in Marine, Civil and Structural areas.
* Experience with Heavy Lifting Method and calculation techniques.
* Specialist knowledge in project engineering and working understanding of project management principles.
* Ability to plan and organize work schedules and deliver results within timelines.
* Sound knowledge of HSEQ requirements and implementation best practices.
* Strong communication skills with proven ability to engage others effectively.
