Crown Melbourne currently has an opportunity for an innovative Group Planning Manager to join the Warehouse team. This newly created role will be responsible for leading a team of Supply Chain Officers and Analysts across all sites on day-to-day functions associated with forecasting, inventory planning and system processes to meet the business demand.
**Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to**:
- Drive a highly effective process to ensure optimized inventory level across all sites while maintaining agility to meet seasonal business demand.
- Continuously analyse data and business trends to identify opportunities for improving inventory management processes and tools.
- Initiate projects and drive collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that planned activities are effectively implemented in Planning and Warehouse Operations.
- Continuously monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that the right products are available in the right quantities in the right locations.
- Work closely with suppliers and logistics providers to optimize the supply network and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to Crown.
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of products introduction, replacement, and discontinuation where applicable.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators related to inventory management, including inventory turns, fill rates, and order lead times.
- Manage, coach and mentor direct reports to support their professional growth and development.
- Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to minimize inventory carrying costs while maintaining service levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that planning activities and system process are aligned with broader company objectives and policies.
**To be successful, you will need**:
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in Supply Chain, business, engineering and/or 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Peoplesoft, Warehouse Management Systems, and forecasting tools, systems and processes.
- Understands the inter-relationship and complexity between all business units when implementing new ideas to the business.
- Excellent business partnering skills including the ability to build strong relationships, manage suppliers' performance, support internal stakeholders with pragmatic solutions and constructively challenge where appropriate.
- Capable to drive budgets, develop business case, create accurate forecast, and mitigate supply chain bottlenecks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and initiatives
