Our Shoalhaven Starches site at Bomaderry on the beautiful south coast of NSW is the largest wheat starch and gluten plant of its kind in the world. Operating alongside our world-first ethanol distillery, we extract value-added products from 100% of the wheat grain using advanced industry technology.
We currently have two exciting opportunities to join our busy Quality Control Laboratory:
* Casual Laboratory Technician
* Full-Time Microbiologist
Both roles offer the chance to work in a state-of-the-art facility and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Casual Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities:
* Assist with testing, recording, and reporting of sample results during manufacture
* Perform visual, chemical, and physical laboratory testing following Standard Operating Procedures
* Support calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments
* Maintain general housekeeping, manage production samples, stock consumables, and prepare solutions
About You:
* Certificate or qualification in Science or related field OR relevant laboratory experience
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently
* Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Suite)
* Ability to work across days, nights and weekends as required
* Knowledge of WHS, QA, and HACCP standards (desirable)

Full-Time Microbiologist
Responsibilities:
* Conduct microbiological testing and analysis of samples during production
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
* Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards
* Record and report accurate test results
* Contribute to continuous improvement in laboratory processes
About You:
* Degree in Microbiology or related scientific discipline
* Experience in microbiological testing within a manufacturing or laboratory environment
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Safety-focused with knowledge of WHS, QA, and HACCP standards
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite
