Geotechnical Site Investigator Role Overview
This is a key position within our organization where you will play a crucial role in conducting detailed site investigations to support engineering and construction outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Risk Assessment and Documentation
* Conduct site risk assessments, site photo documentation, and drill boreholes using a 4WD-mounted rig and log soil profiles to industry standards (AS2870-2011).
* Soil Testing and Sampling
* Perform Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) tests and soil strength assessments, collect and send soil samples for laboratory testing, and assess site wind ratings (AS4055).
* Site Reporting and Drawing
* Compile and submit electronic site investigation reports daily and prepare detailed site drawings.
* Collaboration with the Team
* Support lab testing activities, maintain company vehicle and equipment standards, and assist with additional tasks such as Screw Pier installations as required.
