Due to continued growth within our Engineering Services Division, we are seeking an experienced Communications Technician to join our Brisbane based team.
This role will support the delivery of communications and electrical infrastructure works across Defence and critical infrastructure environments throughout South East Queensland.

The Role
This position will involve installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning activities associated with communications and electrical infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will work across a range of secure and technically challenging environments requiring strong attention to detail, professionalism and compliance with Defence and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and termination of structured cabling systems
* Fibre optic installation, testing and fault finding
* Communications rack and cabinet installations
* Testing and commissioning of communications infrastructure
* Electrical support works associated with communications projects
* Interpretation of drawings, schematics and technical documentation
* Completion of QA documentation, test records and as built information
* Working within Defence and critical infrastructure environments
* Supporting safe and efficient project delivery across multiple sites
Mandatory Requirements
* Current NV1 Defence Security Clearance
* Fibre optic endorsement highly regarded
* White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* Strong communications infrastructure experience
* Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
* Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Highly Desirable
* Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
* Dual trade capability in electrical and communications
* Experience within Defence environments
* Experience with industrial or critical infrastructure projects
* Experience with communications testing equipment and certification
* Elevated Work Platform and Working at Heights tickets
