In this exciting new role, you will be part of a team of professionals who design and deliver creative and circular solutions for residents aimed to:
Reduce waste generation per capita by 15% by 2030;Divert 90% of residential waste (35% as source separated recycling) away from landfill by 2050;
The Contract Specialist will be the City’s leading expert in planning and leading procurement processes and ensure providers deliver optimum performance and high-quality
services that meet the needs of the community for the City Cleansing and Resource Recovery contract portfolio.
The successful candidate will have:
University degree, or TAFE certificate 4 Level or higher in a relevant discipline, such as,
but not limited to business management, project management, procurement, finance or
demonstrated equivalent experience.Demonstrated experience in procurement, tenders, expression of interest and quotation
documentation development and review.Demonstrated experience in contract performance monitoring, administration and the
ability to remedy contract underperformance.Demonstrated experience analysing data and reports to draw out key findings, provide
clear advice and present information effectively.Ability to interact with a broad range of senior staff, technical specialists, operational
staff community members and other stakeholders.Ability to construct, evaluate and present complex business cases including financial
and risk analyses.Current Class C NSW driver’s licence.
The role has the potential to lead a small team, so management experience is desired but not essential.
