Operations Manager Role
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team at a state-of-the-art hospital in Sydney. As a key member of the facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of hospital buildings and associated engineering infrastructure.
* You will have comprehensive oversight of hospital infrastructure, ensuring seamless service and minimal disruption to operations.
* You will manage the hospital buildings, both interior and exterior, in collaboration with on-site contract providers.
* You will act as a dynamic leader with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
* You will oversee external contract partners to ensure performance aligns with agreed service levels and hospital needs.
* You will manage budgets, including quote comparison and cost control.
* You will ensure site compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, sustainability guidelines, and legislative requirements.
* You will conduct property condition audits and identify improvement opportunities.
* You will implement cost-saving initiatives and best practices.
* You will conduct risk assessments and proactively manage hazards.
This is a full-time role that requires a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a busy environment. You will be part of a small and friendly facilities and maintenance team, working across multiple business units and collaborating with colleagues across other facilities.
About You:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position.
* Experience managing complex sites with buildings of varying age and condition.
* Proven ability to manage contractor performance and third-party service providers.
* Background in healthcare or similar operational environments.
* Comfortable working in a 24/7 operational setting.
* Experience using computerized maintenance management systems.
* Delivering business efficiency plans to increase productivity.
* Computer skills, i.e., Excel and Word (or similar).
* Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, compliance with safe work practices, and manual handling practices.
