Location of project: Mackay and Bowen Basin, Queensland. Opportunities are available for Mackay residential positions, FIFO from Brisbane, or DIDO from Mackay and Rockhampton areas and some WFH allowed.

About the role: We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our Reliability Team on a secondment basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in creating and updating Standardised Work (SW) content, ensuring it is achievable, user-friendly, and aligned with operational goals. You will work closely with Execution Teams to deliver high-quality documentation and drive the adoption of Standardised Work practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update clear, concise, and accurate Standardised Work content.
- Collaborate with Execution Teams to ensure SW is practical and user-friendly.
- Produce daily and weekly SW performance reports to track progress and outcomes.
- Attend Method of Procedure (MOP) meetings to deliver and communicate key outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders, absorb feedback, and use influencing skills to promote the importance of Standardised Work to customers and teams.
- Support additional requirements, including field leadership, hazard reporting, and team-specific tasks as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technical or operational environment.
- Strong ability to create clear, user-focused documentation with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to absorb feedback and adapt content to meet operational needs.
- Experience in performance reporting and working in collaborative team settings.
- Familiarity with field leadership, hazard reporting, or operational processes is a plus.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
