Job Opportunity:

The Field Medical Advisor position is a strategic role within the Medical Affairs team, acting as a liaison between experts in Ophthalmology and Optometry.


Main Responsibilities:

* Establish relationships with key opinion leaders to facilitate Investigator Initiated Trials within Alcon's product strategy and coordinate between researchers and Alcon on these trials from inception to publication.
* Act as an interface between medical experts and Alcon to provide timely medical support on device-related issues, educating, diagnosing, resolving, and escalating when necessary to local or regional Medical Affairs teams.
* Develop and maintain scientific partnerships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers to generate evidence through collaborative opportunities; gaining their advocacy.
* Gain a deep understanding of the future needs of ophthalmic surgeons and contribute to medical education aligned with Alcon's strategy.


Requirements:

Ophthalmologist/PhD/PharmD/Advanced Degree in Ophthalmology or Optometry.

Fluency in English essential

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry field (academia, industry, clinical practice), with at least 2 of those in the ophthalmic industry or clinical practice.

Experience in a HCP-facing role.
