We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our Legal & Commercial team.
The primary purpose of the Commercial Manager role is to provide commercial support and contractual leadership to a growing portfolio of complex and diverse projects across our business streams.
The successful individual for this role will demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills. They will be a robust communicator and have the ability to maintain positive and collaborative working relationships.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing key risks and negotiating contractual terms with clients and subcontractors;
- Supporting tender and project teams on major projects with best practice contract management, commercial strategy, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
- Proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation;
- Developing strategies to mitigate and resolve delays, claims and disputes;
- Undertaking deep dives into projects to record lessons learnt and identify improvements;
- Developing and maintaining commercial policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an ambitious and hands-on Commercial Manager who is looking to be challenged and step into a growing and successful team.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Contracts Management or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Construction Law or other equivalent relevant legal studies (if no law degree).
- 5+ years experience in a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager role in a construction/projects environment.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and mitigation skills.
- A professional demeanour and strong relationship-building skills.
