The Location
Located at the base of Mt Louisa in Townsville, Bolton Clarke’s Glendale provides high-quality aged care in a friendly, secure and comfortable residential environment.
The Role
Putting equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping into the bus
Folding and unfolding mobility aids
Staying with residents to allow staff to attend to other's needs
Engaging with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in the outing
Aiding residents with straightforward mobilisation including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained to do so)
Share with the Activities Officer / Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of your shift, a list of residents you have spoken to and information on topics discussed
Deliver a high level of customer service, including the timely provision of agreed services to residents/clients and internal customers
Drive in accordance with road and safety requirements maintaining due care at all times
Qualifications
LR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less
Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)
Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel)
Complete a police check
