We are seeking an exceptional Science Teacher, ideally with expertise in Physics, to join our progressive and supportive team. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for Term 3, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching Delivery: Planning engaging and well-structured lessons, using diverse teaching strategies to meet students' needs, and applying effective communication to support understanding. Emphasising the importance of assessment feedback, promoting cultural awareness, integrating ICT, and involving parents. Creating inclusive environments, maintaining classroom routines, managing behavior, and holding high expectations for student achievement.
2. Assessment and Reporting: Adhering to assessment policies, using feedback to improve, applying various assessment strategies, providing timely feedback and reports, participating in moderation, and maintaining accurate records.
3. Pastoral Care: Engaging in pastoral care and co-curricular activities, modeling Christian values, communicating respectfully, maintaining confidentiality, collaborating with specialists, and supporting colleagues.
4. Policy Implementation: Contributing to and implementing College policies, ensuring student wellbeing and safety, monitoring risks, promoting ICT use, and supporting the College's Christian ethos. Ensuring compliance with laws, standards, and regulations.
5. Sport and Co-Curricular: Participating in co-curricular and sporting activities, planning and delivering relevant programs, and ensuring proper supervision and duty of care.
