The Role
Due to growth plans across the A/NZ region and investment in the Federal Government market, we are looking for a Senior Federal Government Account Executive. You will be responsible for winning and driving expansion in major accounts, building out the Federal Government team and practice. You should have experience selling to senior executives, heads of departments, technical architects and government systems integrators. This role requires creativity, energy, and a self-starter mindset, with the ability to drive deals forward and compress decision cycles. A track record of proven sales success with government clients is required; prior leadership experience is a clear advantage.
Responsibilities
* Proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop a sales pipeline in the federal government sector
* Close business to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
* Build strong and effective customer relationships, resulting in successful projects and satisfied customers
* Support growth and selling through the ecosystem, including SIs and local partners
* Collaborate with Professional Services, Training and Enablement to achieve 100% customer satisfaction
* Qualify inbound leads from key stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, IT architects, and consultants)
* Document sales opportunities and account details (use case, purchase timeframes, etc.) and forecast using the Neo4j/Salesforce CRM system
Relevant Skills And Experience
* 10+ years of sales experience at software vendors with emphasis on data, database, ETL, analytics, or BI (senior-level)
* Passion to sell and excellent people skills
* Proactive, with a can-do attitude
* Bachelor's or Master's degree
* Ability to work independently, self-directed, and remotely in a cross-functional organization
* Some travel, but mostly limited to the Canberra area
