We are seeking a Senior Financial Expert to join our team in Mildura. This role will be responsible for leading key financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
As a senior member of the Finance Department, you will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and work closely with other finance team members. Your responsibilities will include overseeing end of month processing and reconciliation, supporting internal and external audits, contributing to budgeting and financial reporting, and analyzing financial performance to provide strategic insights.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in monthly closing processes, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as customer billing. They will be highly organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Proven knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes with proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Demonstrated well-developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills in accounting and financial management information systems.
* Able to create, revise, edit, and produce documentation with attention to accuracy and quality.
* Strong ability to engage with Aboriginal people and demonstrate cultural competence.

Requirements
