Primary objective
Coordinate the expert analysis and development of technical and functional requirements to deliver data solutions, including the
design and implementation of technical business processes, data integration, system design and workflow development aligned to
business requirements and delivered to Data Services standards.
Context statement
The position coordinates end to end data development cycle working across the three Data Services functions (Data
Warehouse/Business Intelligence Development/Reporting) on all of government data development initiatives.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Coordinate capacity across data warehouse, business intelligence development and reporting resources to achieve project
outcomes while ensuring Data Services Service Standards (BAU) are maintained.
1. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with strategic partners and key agency stakeholders to coordinate
end-to-end all of government Data Services development functions.
3. Translate business requirements and processes into project deliverables and objectives.
4. Utilise Data Modelling toolsets and understand modelling methodologies and concepts.
5. Provide support to BAU BI Development and reporting including troubleshooting and designing technical solutions, defining
business rules and developing mappings.
6. Design and implement automated solutions that utilise Data Services approved toolsets.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Highly experienced in managing projects utilising project management methodologies and concepts including SCRUM, Sprint
Planning, Kanban's and Agile project management to deliver Business Intelligence solutions.
2. Highly developed business analysis and documentation experience related to the development of business rules required to
source, map, transform, and integrate data from a range of sources into an enterprise data model to meet reporting
requirements.
1. Excellent knowledge of business intelligence tools and techniques, and proven ability to deliver outcomes within a fast paced
and demanding service delivery environment
1. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and leadership skills including the demonstrated ability to communicate
technical concepts and information by influencing, consulting, collaborating, negotiating, engaging and presenting to a wide
range of audiences

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or professional membership.
