Select Civil workshop rebuilds and refurbishes heavy plant to a high standard for fleet, trading needs, or third-party clients, always with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant or skilled Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our team at our workshop in Kembla Grange, NSW.
Responsibilities
- Plant & equipment repairs and maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Work as a team on project delivery including scheduling of components and works
- Secure and quality repairs and maintenance in compliance with manufacturer procedures and checklists
- Ensure a strong focus on safe working practices
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with other team members to schedule and prioritize equipment repairs and maintenance based on business and client needs
- Accurate record keeping of work performed, parts used and time spent
- Adhere to all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter or Mobile Plant
- Proven experience in maintenance and repairs on various heavy machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
