About the Role
Blacklocks Truck Centre is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to step into a Workshop Foreman / Hybrid Mechanic role within our busy and growing workshop.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to a senior technician who is ready to support the Workshop Controller while remaining semi-active on the tools — or for someone looking to take the next step in their career.
You'll play a key role in ensuring workshop productivity, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and supporting the team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Workshop Controller with daily workflow co-ordination
Provide technical guidance and support to workshop technicians
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy vehicles
Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard
Support apprentice development and team training
Maintain strong safety and compliance standards
About You
Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (relevant trade certification)
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Proven experience working in a busy workshop environment
Leadership experience or readiness to step into a supervisory role
Strong communication and team coordination skills
Commitment to quality workmanship and safety
