Job DescriptionJob Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref.
956Department: EngineeringSalary: £36,330 - £39,055Job descriptionSalary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum of 28 hours per week.
Flexible or compressed working hours available.This role is office-based.Can you design, build, and test electronic circuits and printed circuit boards?Keen to build your skills and develop your career in engineering?You'll join a product development team working on hardware products and solutions to protect security.
You may not know all the details yet, but you soon will.You'll use your technical knowledge and ideas to create and maintain electronic hardware for custom-designed security products to meet the needs of partners at home and overseas.No two days will be the same.
One day you could be modifying an existing design to introduce a new requirement; the next, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on designing new products and systems.You'll receive training and support to develop in this role, along with a training budget for external courses.
You'll also be able to dedicate time to innovation and research.More About YouTo apply, you will already have:Experience in the design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.An understanding of product and system design and development.Relevant work experience or qualifications, equivalent to or an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.It would be beneficial if you also have:Further qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, equivalent to or a 2:2 or higher degree.Experience in electronic schematic capture and PCB design.Experience of RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.A good understanding of PCB manufacturing processes.Your Personal SkillsYou will be the type of person who:Is keen to learn and improve both technical and non-technical skills.Enjoys working with other engineers, combining knowledge to produce better results.Likes seeing projects through to completion with drive and commitment.Enjoys solving hard problems with innovative solutions.Can manage your workload and adapt to changing demands.Puts plans in place for improvements.Works with partners to understand their needs and expectations.Putting Your Skills to UseYou'll be involved in the full product development process, creating a range of designs and systems, collaborating with partners and engineers.
