Warehouse Manager
At our Launceston Distribution Hub, we are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our operations. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Excellence: Manage site distribution, warehouse operations, Truck and Forklift fleet, suppliers, property, and inventory control to meet KPIs and budget targets while ensuring a high level of EHS compliance.
* Safety Leadership: Champion safety and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with legislation, company policies, and AS-45001 standards.
* Team Management: Lead, coach, and mentor your team, driving people development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive site and process improvement projects using our Supply Chain Excellence Framework and adopt new technologies to maintain industry-leading service standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with regional services manager, broader supply chain, customer service, and local sales representatives to meet service commitments.
Requirements
Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience managing and coaching staff within a warehouse environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* A strong understanding of small to medium warehousing and distribution environments.
* LF Forklift Licence – highly desirable.
* MR or HR Truck Licence – highly desirable.
* Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Experience managing EHS and COR in line with policy and legislation.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and a customer-first approach.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
