Studio Steel is a CC2 certified manufacturing and construction business on a huge growth trajectory. Due to our reputation of delivering quality work, safely and on-time we have a huge pipeline of won work to deliver for large builders from the Northern NSW to Central Queensland and we need additional capacity from talented Boilermakers / Steel Riggers to join our team. Please note - Applicants MUST have full Australian working rights and be living in Australia.
The key duties for these factory-based roles include:
1. Experience leading a team of onsite Boilermakers and Riggers
2. Experience with structural steel installations on construction sites
3. Ability to read and interpret drawings is critical
4. Solid understanding of safe on-site work practices
5. Ability to operate EWP's and/or Cranes to install and rig steel
6. Excellent communication skills to talk with other team members, clients, builders, engineers and other trades etc.
The following competencies are required
1. Safety focused - this is a non-negotiable
2. Ability to perform all the above key duties and have exceptionally high attention to detail - our game is one of millimeters
3. Experience working on construction sites
4. Must have a Riggers ticket to erect steel onsite
This role will be based on work sites around SEQ with some travel to sites in Central Queensland from time to time.
