**Appliance Repair Technician - Sunshine Coast**
We offer repair services for audiovisual and consumer electronics on the Sunshine Coast. Our team specializes in Televisions, Monitors, Video Projectors, DVD Player/Recorder, PVR, Home Theatre Systems, AV Receivers, Speakers, Vacuum Cleaners, and Microwaves.
We provide service for a wide range of new and older technologies as authorized agents for LG, Samsung, Epson, Yamaha, and Panasonic. We also repair products under extended warranty through major retailers in our region. A solid understanding of current consumer products is required.
We operate as a small but effective team providing service to the Sunshine Coast, Hinterland, and Gympie regions. Work is carried out in customers' homes and workshops.
We seek an experienced appliance and electronics repair professional based in Maroochydore to join our team.
- Key responsibilities include:
* Assessing and diagnosing faults in consumer electronics
* Providing technical support, usage advice, and maintenance guidance
* Completing repairs according to best available evidence and manufacturers' specifications
* Attending service calls in the community for consumer appliances
* Successfully completing allocated repair jobs in the workshop
* Dealing with customers and delivering exceptional customer service
* Ensuring all appliance, repair information, and parts usage are documented
* Completing administration duties
* Working effectively with our team and updating members on jobs as needed
**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Current Driver's License
- Demonstrated electrical aptitude
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Formal Qualifications (Electronics & Communication) - Desirable or
- Certificate III - Appliance Servicing Certificate - Desirable
- Minimum 2 years experience in appliance repairs - Desirable
Service involves working individually out on the road and in the workshop. An ability to work independently with a solid understanding of the various products repaired is essential.
A high standard of computer knowledge is required as all service manuals and parts information are web-based. In addition, a large number of units require firmware upgrades that require computer operation.
This role requires direct contact with customers, so an energetic and positive attitude is necessary.
The successful candidate must be aware that this is not a training position, so previous experience in this role is required. Specific job training will be provided regarding our in-house systems and procedures.
