What you'll be doing
This Senior Occupational Therapist role within the PEIRS team focuses on providing high-quality care to young people with complex mental health needs. The position involves assessment, planning, therapy, leading clinical supervision, and collaborating with wider health services.
* Delivers specialised OT services to youth aged 12-25
* Develops and implements individual care plans
* Provides clinical supervision to junior staff and students

Essential Requirements
* License: NSW Driver's license (Current Class C (P2 acceptable) and willingness to drive for work purposes)
* Qualification: Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist – general registration
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated mental health experience using Occupational Therapy assessment tools, especially in community mental health services for children and adolescents.
* Experience in evidence-based service provision, recovery programs, implementation, and evaluation.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with effective communication skills.
* Experience in student coordination, supervision, education programs, and liaising with university placement coordinators.
* Effective verbal and written communication and time management skills.
* Commitment to consumer participation, working with families and carers.
* Participation in ongoing education, professional development, and quality improvement programs.
