Job details
Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
Key duties and responsibilities
The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
* Working with the development team to successfully implement changing business requirements within projects, minor works or BAU within the existing SAP solutions;
* Supporting and contributing to critical technical design to deliver new capability or enhancements to existing processes and systems;
* Designing and developing solutions in the following SAP functional areas: SAP HCM (Hire to Retire) functional stream;
* Providing regular status updates to ensure work is completed within scheduled timeframes;
* Supporting business operations and troubleshooting production issues with SAP ECC6, integration between SAP and Non-SAP applications in the Department;
* Creating and updating system documentations and procedures.
Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department's recordkeeping policy and practices.
The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:
* Technical specification documents as required.
* Updating any existing Home Affairs documentation within the SAP system.
All deliverables performed by the specified personnel must:
* be performed or delivered promptly and without delay in accordance with the timeframes notified by the buyer from time to time; and
* meet the assessment and performance criteria set out in any monitoring and performance assessment processes notified to the seller from time to time.
Essential criteria
1.Expertise and experience in all SAP WRICEF development Workflow, Report, Integration (developing and maintaining web services), Conversion, Enhancement and Forms (Smart Forms) with UX development (SAP Fiori /UI5/ OData, FPM, WebDynpro) and designing and developing ABAP Object Oriented Programming.
2.Integration and interface experience between SAP and non-SAP applications.
3.Experience in Modern ABAP development like ABAP Programming Model, CDS View, BOPF and process like Clean ABAP, Test Driven development, ABAP Git and CHARM.
4.Ability to translate business requirements into development solutions.
5.Able to contribute to the ongoing development of technical functions within the SAP project delivery and support teams.
6.Experience in SAP environments and experience in building custom solutions within ECC6 and strong debugging and problem-solving skills and understanding of business requirements of system solutions.
Desirable criteria
1.Experience working in large organisation similar to the department.
2.Minimum 5 years development experience or formal qualifications in Information Technology.
3.Experience in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
4.Able to communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure outcomes are achieved in agreed timeframes.

Contract length: 36 months
Pay: $130.00 – $155.00 per hour
