Stapylton Location Monday to Thursday 6.00am-2.30pm and Fridays 6.00am-12.00pm $75.00 per hour inclusive of casual loading (up to $130k plus super perm package) Cardboard manufacturing industry Temp to perm opportunity after 6 months ASAP start About the Role We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager with a background in Cardboard manufacturing. The Production Manager oversees the daily operations of the cardboard box manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production processes, quality standards, and timely delivery of products. This role is a hands-on role, focusing on optimising resources, maintaining safety compliance, operating machines, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling, help control production schedules to meet customer demand and minimise downtime. Team Leadership, Supervise and manage production staff, including training, performance reviews, and workforce allocation. Quality Control, ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications through regular inspections and adherence to QA protocols. Process Optimisation, Identify and implement improvements in production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Safety & Compliance, maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and conducting regular audits. Inventory Management, monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock. Reporting, Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and operational metrics to senior management. Machine Operation. Learn to operate all machines and implement a preventative maintenance plan. ERP, Learn the ERP system to fill in for scheduler when on AL. What We're Looking For: Minimum 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in packaging or cardboard manufacturing. Strong leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or similar methodologies. Proficient in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations. Forklift ticket.
