About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join our team at the Canning Vale Distribution Centre. This is a permanent full‐time onsite role, working five days per week, supporting the day‐to‐day coordination of facilities operations in a fast‐paced warehouse environment. The role involves early starts with early finishes, between 6:00 am–2:00 pm, with some flexibility required and occasional weekend work may be needed. This position is ideal for a hands‐on facilities professional who enjoys being onsite, working closely with operations, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the site remains safe, compliant, and operationally efficient.
In this Role
* Support the DC Facilities Manager in coordinating daily facilities activities across the site
* Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with Linksafe and SHE standards
* Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and performance
* Maintain facilities systems and records (e.g. MyBuildings), including maintenance logs, purchase orders, invoicing, and documentation
* Ensure compliance with OH&S, Environmental, and HACCP requirements, supporting site audits and operational compliance initiatives
* Conduct minor repairs and carry out minor preventative maintenance activities (e.g. A Safe)
* Provide on‐site support during facilities‐related incidents (e.g. equipment breakdowns, leaks, power outages), including after‐hours support when required
* Identify workplace hazards and support preventative maintenance activities
You're Likely a Match If
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to follow tasks through to completion
* Sound understanding of building services and systems, including basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and refrigeration
* Excellent communication and contractor management skills, working effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Understanding of scheduled and preventative maintenance in an operational or warehouse environment
* Experience with warehouse compliance requirements (HACCP / Racking / Operational Compliance) or willingness to complete required training
* Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong work ethic with a proactive, can‐do attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the business
* A forklift licence, EWP, trade or safety qualifications will be highly regarded
