Role
Working in close collaboration with the MR5 Transaction team, DTP BAU divisions and third-party support, the Manager, MR5 Transition will focus on one of the Transition areas: Franchise Readiness, State Day 1 Readiness, and Contract Management Readiness.
These roles will :
• support the readiness of the State to effectively manage the critical elements of the MR5 contract on Day 1
• provide oversight of the franchise transition as well as, acting as an arbitrator, if necessary, when transitioning from the incumbent to the new franchise
• create and document processes and supporting materials to establish a strong foundation for administering the MR5 contract, addressing both Day 1 and subsequent stages.
The successful applicants will have substantial experience relevant to complex contracts in the public sector.
These roles may have the option to be extended to include the MR5 Train Transition.
The ideal candidate should possess accomplished skills in project delivery, business and commercial acumen, critical thinking and problem-solving, as well as influence and persuasion. They should also exhibit accomplished personal attributes such as collaborative working and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
• Provided expert and highly strategic advice to senior business executives on specialist areas of ongoing contract management and service delivery.
• Oversaw business process mapping, assurance and compliance programs and technical writing to deliver overall frameworks, plans, RACI and manuals.
• Built and maintained effective relationships with senior business executives, external support, broader transaction team and franchisees to achieve project objectives
• Provided timely response to DTP stakeholders, other government departments, Franchisees and external advisers to achieve effective reporting, advice and service outcomes.
• Instilled a high level of project management, delivery, governance and contract management systems, policies and processes into the project delivery team’s function.
• Provided oversight and strategic, tactical and governance support for the Director, MR5 close-out and MR5 Transition, taking the lead on strategic initiatives, inspiring and increasing the capability of the team members in facilitating the project delivery.
• Managed junior team members and supported them to deliver project outcomes effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
• A relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, law, finance, economics, business management or proven extensive experience.
