Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Oracle DBA / Oracle Database Engineer to own the end-to-end design, administration, performance, availability, and reliability of Oracle Database platforms, including Exadata environments.
This role is critical in ensuring stable production operations, high performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, configure, and maintain Oracle database systems across the full lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, delivery, and maintenance).
* Monitor and analyze performance and health of Oracle Databases, including
Oracle Exadata
systems.
* Manage complex data replication topologies using
Oracle GoldenGate
.
* Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations.
* Plan and execute Oracle database upgrades in collaboration with application teams.
* Maintain and enhance OEM infrastructure and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Participate in biannual patching of Oracle Databases, Grid Infrastructure, and Exadata OS.
* Diagnose and resolve complex performance issues using Oracle assessment tools and OEM.
Required Skills & Experience
* 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying Oracle databases.
* Strong expertise in database backup, recovery systems, and SQL tuning.
* Experience with:
* Oracle Data Guard
* Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
* Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
* Familiarity with Solaris and SPARC environments.
* Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c upgrades and maintenance.
* Scripting expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting.
* Experience with backup tools such as
Commvault
.
