About the role
VitalCore Support Services is seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Geelong, VIC 3220. This is a casual position that will see you provide essential care and support to elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting clients with day-to-day living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
* Providing companionship and engaging clients in social and recreational activities
* Advocating for client needs and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
* Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate case notes
* Adhering to all health, safety, and quality standards
What we're looking for
* A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or a related field
* Prior experience in a similar support worker role, preferably in the aged care or disability services sector
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
* A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
* A valid driver's licence and reliable transport
* A strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
* Australian citizenship is required for this role
* NDIS worker screening clearance is required
