Industry experts describe the role of a Customer Compliance Analyst as a vital component in maintaining the integrity of all compliance processes within an organization. As such, this position plays an essential part in protecting the business and promoting a culture of responsible engagement.
Key responsibilities include providing end-to-end compliance oversight across all operational AML/CTF matters, ensuring strong adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies throughout the entire customer lifecycle. This encompasses onboarding through to termination, with a focus on proactive risk management, data privacy protection, and maintaining the accuracy of all compliance processes.
This position acts as a key connection point between internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies, requiring a blend of analytical accuracy and sound judgment to monitor transactions, investigate anomalies, and expedite issues when needed. By delivering accurate reporting, supporting governance activities, and applying AML/CTF frameworks, the analyst plays an indispensable role in safeguarding the business and supporting a culture of compliance and responsible engagement.
Operational AML/CTF compliance is paramount in this role, necessitating alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies at all stages of the customer lifecycle. The analyst must act as the Compliance Officer under AML/CTF legislation, overseeing risk, data privacy, and regulatory processes during onboarding, active play, cash-out, and account closure. Strong KYC standards must be upheld, including identity verification, transaction monitoring, and accurate record-keeping.
The analyst will prepare and deliver weekly compliance reports to the Community Safety & Compliance Manager, highlighting AML/CTF performance insights and emerging risks. Prompt and professional responses to regulatory, management, and customer enquiries are required, with collaboration with internal teams to resolve compliance issues. Accurate workflow records must be maintained within internal systems, ensuring all escalations, investigations, and actions are fully documented.
Ultimately, the success of this position depends on the ability to maintain effective implementation of AML/CTF Procedures Manuals (Parts A and B) in line with legislative requirements.
