The Role
This position will see you site-based on a newly secured 48-lot project in Edmondson Park, working directly with a leading developer client. Reporting to the NSW Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing WHS compliance and implementation across the site, ensuring all workers and contractors operate in a safe and compliant environment.
While your focus will be on this project, there may be ad hoc support needed on nearby sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out on-site, confident in their WHS knowledge, and ready to represent the builder directly with key clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily WHS operations on site, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies
* Coordinate and monitor WHS systems (WHSMS), including SWMS and risk assessments using industry software and infield apps
* Conduct Toolbox Talks, Safety Inductions, and site audits for staff and subcontractors
* Maintain strong working relationships with the site team, trades, and client-side representatives
* Identify training needs and support onboarding processes for new site staff and contractors
* Carry out incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions as needed
* Provide WHS reporting to management and assist in driving safety culture across the business
* Daily use of DS Site - the company's safety portal
About You
2–3 years' experience as a WHS Officer
Solid understanding of WHS within construction (Class 1 housing preferred)
Hold a Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)
Valid White Card and First Aid certificate
Confident communicator – able to liaise directly with clients and site teams
Strong organisational and reporting skills, with experience using mobile-based safety systems
Current driver's licence
