Overview
We are seeking a full‐time Export Contracts & Documentation Officer to join our Abbotsford office. In this role, you will support the Grain & Oilseed platform by ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of export shipment documentation, coordinating contract execution, and managing domestic supply chain activities. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient export and domestic logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of customer container and bulk shipment files as the Record Owner, ensuring effective communication with customers, packers, shipping companies, transport operators, bulk handlers, banks and government departments.
* Prepare export documentation in line with client requirements, destination regulations, contractual terms and Letters of Credit.
* Coordinate container packing with external packers to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely dispatch.
* Administer contracts and coordinate domestic movement of goods across the supply chain.
* Ensure alignment between Sales, Procurement and Warehousing teams to support efficient execution.
* Maintain accurate data and documentation in ERP and contract management systems.
* Support system changes and upskilling within the Execution team, including training and assistance with new tools and processes.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in export documentation, trade execution, logistics coordination or supply chain operations (commodities experience highly regarded).
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and time‐management skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Problem‐solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and proactively resolve issues.
* Familiarity with ERP systems, contract management systems or export platforms (training provided).
* Understanding of export regulations, INCOTERMS, Letters of Credit or international trade requirements is an advantage.
* Tertiary qualification in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce or a related discipline (preferred).
* Additional certifications in export documentation, logistics or trade operations will be well regarded.
