About the Role:
Mazda is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager – Fleet & Corporate to join our State Office team. In this pivotal role, you will drive growth across the corporate and fleet sector by implementing Mazda's national strategies, building strong networks, and influencing decision-makers at the highest level. You'll play a critical role in expanding Mazda's presence with corporate, government, rental, and business fleet customers, while working closely with dealers and the national sales team to deliver outstanding outcomes.
This role is based in our State Office in Adelaide and requires a full-time, in-office presence five days a week. The position fosters a collaborative work environment and promotes effective teamwork, with regular travel across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement Mazda's corporate and fleet strategies to achieve vehicle sales growth.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including C-level executives, fleet managers, leasing companies, and dealer principals.
* Develop business frameworks to capture fleet and corporate opportunities across all segments.
* Prepare and manage tenders and pricing proposals to win large-scale fleet contracts.
* Support dealer partners with pricing, programs, and business development initiatives.
* Report regularly to the Mazda Executive Team on sales pipeline, opportunities, and market activity.
* Assist in the management of Mazda's Corporate Select and Fleet programs, ensuring seamless delivery across customers and the dealer network.
About you:
You're a confident and strategic professional with a proven track record in business development, ideally within the automotive industry. You're skilled at building lasting relationships and influencing at a senior level, while also being highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
To be successful, you will have:
* Senior-level experience in the fleet and finance industry, ideally in a business development role.
* Strong knowledge of the automotive industry.
* A degree in a business-related discipline is preferred.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated success in tender writing and securing new business.
* The ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives, senior managers, and dealer networks.
* Strong numeracy and analytical skills to support data-driven decision making.
