About The Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a ServiceNow Developer. This is a long-term contract role ASAP – 30 June 2027 (estimated start 10 March 2026) with no extension options, located at our client’s ACT office, onsite.
As The Selected Candidate, You Will
Deliver hands-on configuration and custom development across the ServiceNow platform Design, build and enhance solutions across ITSM, HRSD and/or CSM modules Contribute across the full development lifecycle – requirements, design, build, test, deploy and support Develop and maintain secure, scalable and reliable platform capabilities Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST APIs and web services Support platform maintenance including upgrades, defect resolution and performance optimisation Produce technical documentation and ensure compliance with governance and security standards Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects and operational teams within an agile delivery environment
To Be Successful In This Role You Should Have
Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification Strong hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer in enterprise environments Proven experience across the full ServiceNow development lifecycle Strong scripting capability including JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies and Flow Designer Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST APIs, web services and secure authentication mechanisms Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and deliver within tight timeframes Experience operating in environments with strong governance, change management and security requirements
It Is Desirable If You Have
ServiceNow product certifications in ITSM, HRSD and/or CSM Experience delivering solutions across ITSM, HRSD and/or CSM in medium to large organisations Experience supporting upgrades, patching, monitoring and performance optimisation Familiarity with ITIL or service management frameworks Experience working in Australian Government, regulated or security-sensitive ICT environments Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with an active Baseline clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1).
