About The Opportunity
St Peter Claver College is looking for a Secondary Teacher specialised in Religious Education. You will bring deep subject knowledge, passion for faith‐based learning and an ability to engage students in meaningful, reflective and relevant Religious Education.
Responsibilities
* Creating a nurturing, learner‐centred and supportive learning environment that aligns with curriculum policies and practices.
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programmes, evaluating their effectiveness, assessing and reporting student progress, and communicating outcomes to students, parents and the community.
* Working with the leadership team, teachers and other staff to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture.
* Engaging in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
* Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students, supporting their spiritual and moral development.
* Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
Qualifications
* Contemporary teaching practices that support a learner‐focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
* Experience designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes aligned with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
* Strong commitment to engaging with colleagues, students and parents/carers to enrich learning and achieve optimal educational outcomes.
* Passion for supporting students' spiritual and moral development.
* Position requires Catholic faith.
Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements
* Right to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
* Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
* Completion of working‐with‐children checks and background referencing.
