About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Assistant Chief Concierge to support the daily operations of our Concierge team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for greeting and welcoming guests.
* Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations.
* Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
* Assist in on‐site events such as weddings or corporate meetings.
* Support the effective day‐to‐day operations of the Concierge team.
* Demonstrate proficiency across all Guest Services functions, including butler service, in‐room dining, porterage, and valet.
* Provide leadership and guidance to Concierge.
* Manage guest requests, bookings, and correspondence with efficiency and professionalism.
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, particularly for VIPs and group arrivals.
* Assist in service recovery and uphold positive guest and colleague interactions.
* Maintain accurate records, logs, and tracking systems in line with hotel policies.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Concierge within a five‐star hotel or similar environment preferred.
* Strong knowledge of Sydney's attractions, restaurants, and services.
* Must possess a professional presentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to lead by example and support team development.
* High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
* Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
* Extremely organised and well developed computer knowledge.
* Extensive knowledge of Sydney and surrounds.
* Must already have a valid visa to work in Australia.
