About the role:
Looking for flexible work that fits around school or study commitments?
We're seeking reliable Catering Assistants to support catering operations at one of our education sites in Parkville, VIC. This casual role offers school-friendly hours in a professional and supportive catering environment, with a focus on quality food service and teamwork.
Roster:
Casual shifts available Monday to Sunday, with flexible hours between 6am and 8pm.
What This Role Involves
* Assisting with food preparation and serving meals and snacks in line with service standards
* Providing excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner
* Re-stocking items as required during and after meal periods
* Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
* Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the Chef with general kitchen duties
* Following all food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Desired Skills And Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
* Previous contract catering experience (desirable)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent presentation and communication skills
* Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to busy and changing environments
* Strong customer service focus
